Job description

The Construction Technician supports on-site construction activities for construction projects, maintenance tasks, and property improvement work across the company's construction portfolio. This role assists the Superintendent and Project Manager with general labor, site preparation, material handling, cleanup, and basic construction tasks to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.
Essential Functions:
Site Preparation & Maintenance
  • Set up, clean, and maintain construction sites, ensuring safe and organized work areas.
  • Assist with demolition, debris removal, and preparation of spaces for construction activities.
  • Handle tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring proper storage and care.

Construction Support Activities
  • Perform basic construction tasks such as framing support, installing temporary protections, or equipment staging under supervision.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials and supplies across the job site.
  • Assist trades and subcontractors by preparing work areas and moving tools or materials.
  • Operate hand tools and light equipment as trained and authorized.

Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all site safety rules, PPE requirements, and company protocols.
  • Report hazards or unsafe conditions to the Superintendent immediately.
  • Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.

Other:
  • Demonstrate the company's core values consistently.
  • Assist with punch list completion and final cleanup.
  • Support small maintenance tasks across properties as needed.
  • Complete all additional tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
