JOB SUMMARY: Wintrust Field is a 7,000+ seat baseball stadium located in Schaumburg, IL. The stadium is managed by REV Entertainment and will host a wide range of sports and entertainment events, serving as the home of the Schaumburg Boomers, a professional baseball team playing in the Frontier League, an official partner of league of Major League Baseball. The Account Executive position is responsible for producing revenue through the sale of all REV owned and operated events and commercial rights. Direct functions include the development and service of new clients, continual prospecting and communication with the business community, and a strong commitment to successfully building quality relationships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Work directly with the General Manager and local sales team

  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities for facility events at Wintrust Field, including but not limited to:

    • Corporate events, Concerts and festivals, Community events, Private parties, Youth sports tournaments, Trade shows, Holiday events, and Nonprofit functions

  • Generate revenue through outbound sales calls, networking, referrals, and community engagement.

  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, vendors, sponsors, promoters, and community organizations.

  • Develop customized event proposals, pricing packages, and contracts.

  • Meet and exceed sales goals set forth by the team.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipelines, and client communications through available CRM systems.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for booked events from initial inquiry through event completion.

  • Coordinate with internal departments including operations, food & beverage, grounds crew, marketing, ticketing, and security to ensure seamless event execution.

  • Develop event timelines, layouts, staffing plans, and operational logistics.

  • Oversee on-site event management and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

  • Collaborate with the marketing department to promote event offerings and increase facility/event awareness.

  • Assist in creating sales materials, presentations, and promotional campaigns.

  • Represent the organization at networking events, trade shows, and community functions.

  • Significant emphasis is placed on self-generated lead acquisition.

  • Assist with premium services sales and execution including suites, club areas, and hospitality programs.

  • Organize leads/prospects for weekly reporting.

  • Host clients at games, concerts, or other REV events.

  • Prepare sales reports, revenue forecasts, and post-event evaluations.

  • Monitor event budgets and profitability.

  • Assist with annual planning and strategic growth initiatives for facility events.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and contractual obligations.

  • Other duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred.

  • 2-5 years of experience in event sales, sports sales, hospitality, venue management, or related industry.

  • Excellent customer service and computer skills.

  • Strong listening skills with the ability to establish and maintain business relationships.

  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Must possess a high level of energy.

  • Must be a motivated self-starter.

  • Time management skills are crucial.

  • Must be able to work holidays, evening and weekends as required.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the facility during events.

  • Experience working in sports or entertainment venues is preferred

This an exempt position and earns commission with a base salary range of $40,000 - $60,000 commensurate with experience.
