Description
A day in the life:
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Software Engineer to assist with software integration efforts, development of framework solutions and maintaining automated infrastructure solutions to ensure high availability and scalability of HPC systems in a Linux environment. In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders to streamline the deployment pipeline and optimize system performance.
What you bring to the table:
  • 7+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution. Four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with Linux CLI
  • Experience writing scripts using Shell/Bash/Python
  • Linux administration experience including software integration, service management, configuration management, and routine sustainment operations related to provisioning, storage, and networking.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, libraries, and packages in a Linux environment
  • Software development experience with Java and Python
  • Experience with stream/batch Big Data processing and analytic frameworks including Spark
  • Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
  • Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Experience deploying containerized services under Kubernetes orchestration
  • Demonstrated experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana
  • Experience with Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration
  • An active US Government TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph

Salary Range:
  • Disclosed pay ranges are a general guideline, and are not a guarantee of a final salary or compensation. Our approach in determining final salaries takes into consideration a number of factors such as education, certifications, total years of relevant professional experience, actual level of expertise, and the responsibilities of the role itself.
  • Based on the outlined roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is: $175,000 - $220,000.
