Position: Sports Specialist (Asst. Baseball Coach) Salary: $24.10/hour +DOE*

DUTIES:

This position is at the US Coast Guard Academy, Athletic Activity Fund, New London CT.


Responsible for supporting the Head Baseball coach with coaching and administration of a Division III Baseball program.


Comply with all college, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.


Practice instruction and in-game support/coaching to include player and skill development.


Assist with analytical tracking and video assessment, recruiting athletically talented, academically qualified and diverse student athletes and developing both in-season and off-season training programs.


Assist with social media postings.


Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Minimum:

1. Collegiate baseball experience

2. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

3. Bachelors Degree


Preferred (in addition to the minimum):

1. Collegiate, High School or Baseball Club coaching experience

2. Demonstrated experience in recruiting athletically talented, academically qualified and diverse student

athletes to an academically rigorous institution
