Summary:

Develops and maintains a network of contacts within the EPC, Contractor, and House Account customer base. Works closely with members of the Divisional commercial team and our OEM partners to drive specification, capture requests for quotation, and improve order intake of strategically identified capital investment projects. Fosters knowledge and visibility of the Divisional product and service offering within the assigned accounts.

Responsibilities:
  • Manages the sales pipeline from prospect to closing on high value opportunities managed as stand-alone projects outside the realm of site level engineering.
  • Develop professional rapport and personal relationships with assigned account contacts in the EPC, Contractor, and House Account customer base.
  • Establish a plan of regular engagement and increased touchpoints with key decision-makers for capital investment projects and maintenance outage opportunities being managed by EPC and Contractor contacts.
  • Liaise with Area Sales Directors, Account Managers, Technical Sales Managers, and OEM partners to identify strategic projects and develop a plan of product and service promotion that includes historical success, site level exposure, and innovative solutions. Leverage the IIR database for early engagement and timely pursuit.
  • Pursue local OEM accounts that require Division-specific Products and Services but are not assigned accounts. Some of these sites will benefit from a synergized approach leveraging the SunSource family of companies. Some of these sites will issue orders directly to our OEM partners, which will in turn commission the applicable Division for the front-end pursuit and intake facilitation.
  • Initiate quotation follow-up and complementary selling activities within unassigned house accounts and contractors when a quotation exceeds $20,000 OR annual quotations exceed $100,000.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with our OEM partners for proper promotion and support of Divisional product line.
Positional Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in high level, application-based selling of industrial flow control products
  • Engineering or technical degree a strong plus
  • Skills & Abilities
  • Highly organized
  • Effective time-management
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledgeable in product selection, specification, and industry sector applications
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must be available to travel throughout company territory to perform training, presentations, meetings, and participate in other company events; overnight travel frequently required
  • Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines
  • Clear background check and drug and alcohol screening
