Pay Rate: $25-$30/hour
The Organization
Francophone Charter School of Oakland is a French immersion charter school that opened its doors in 2015. Our mission is to provide a dual-immersion curriculum to a diverse community of students and to develop bilingual and bi-literate global citizens who are open minded and who value intellectual curiosity, personal integrity and creativity. We are a small (350 students in TK-8), tight-knit international community that is looking to expand its staff. No knowledge of French is required for this position.
Summary of Position
Under the supervision of the BASC Director, the BASC Coordinator manages the day-to-day operation of the BASC program and assist the BASC Director with ELOP compliance
Requirements
Key responsibilities:
  • Ensure that the after school program is thoroughly planned for with appropriate materials, supplies, and staffing.
  • Ensure afterschool rosters are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist BASC director with clubs rotation and students enrollment
  • Assist BASC director with all ELOP compliance and documentation required for yearly audit
  • Communicate effectively and maintain strong, meaningful, and caring relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Manage student behavior and discipline, including communicating with families, the BASC Director, and school-day staff, as needed.
  • Supervise BASC staff employees and provide timely feedback.
  • Lunch supervision as needed (minimum 2 days per week)

Perform other duties as assigned.
