Controls Engineer (BAS Layout/Architecture) - Energy Engineering/Analytics & Building Automation Company - Philadelphia, PA
The company blends/incorporates Building Automation service offerings with Energy Engineering-Analytics services.
POSITION:
  • Controls Engineer (BAS Layout/Architecture)
LOCATION:
  • Philadelphia, PA
RESPONSIBILITIES (general):
  • Create Sequence of Operations (SOOs) for each project
  • Design the BAS Layout & Architecture
  • Utilize either MS Visio or AutoCAD
  • Deliver SOOs to appropriate team member
  • Communicate with the field team in case there are adjustment to SOOs
  • Perform job-walks/site visits
RESPONSIBILITIES (day-to-day):
  • Receive estimate/assist with the estimate
  • Select the controllers for the applications
  • Size/design the panels
  • Select transformers and power sizing
  • Daisy-chain drawings for controllers
  • Select sensors that are spec'd in the submittals and make sure they work
  • Design with CAD
  • Submit the submittal package
  • Order parts after submittal package is accepted
  • Hand-off to the Install/Field team
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Prior positions as a Controls Engineer, Application Engineer, or Design Engineer
  • Interest in where Energy Engineering/Analytics meets Building Automation Implementation
  • Understanding of Mechanical Systems
