Cocktail Server
Primary Responsibilities: Provide prompt and courteous beverage service to casino guests in designated gaming areas. This includes taking the order and delivering the beverage item in a quick, and efficient manner in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures to result in a high level of guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Carry work cards at all times while on shift. Serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with alcohol awareness training.
  2. Acknowledge and greet guests in a friendly manner. Always conduct yourself in a manner that reflects a positive and professional demeanor. Must maintain proper personal grooming and uniform standards while on shift.
  3. Observe and practice safety rules and regulations and encourage other to do so. Must comply with health and sanitation standards.
  4. Must have knowledge of SDS sheets located in your area.
  5. Must have knowledge of all emergency procedures.
  6. Responsible for informing the supervisor on duty of any team member or guest opportunity.
  7. Promotes a safe and clean environment for fellow team members and guests.
  8. Work area to be kept clean.
  9. Must be familiar with drinks and prices when working the outside patio area.
  10. Complete assigned side work and any additional task with a positive manner
  11. Observe and anticipate guest’s needs
  12. Maintain a well-stocked service station
  13. Must be familiar with all slot, cash and complimentary charging procedures
  14. Retrieve glassware including but not limited to beverage glasses and bottles from casino and other assigned areas
  15. Take beverage order and relay to bartender
  16. Collect order from bartender, add appropriate garnish, place on tray and serve to guest with cocktail napkin
  17. Request identification from the guest when legal age is questioned
  18. Complete bill and accept payment (from outside bar patio only)
  19. Must manage time efficiently with minimum supervision
  20. Must be able to make quick judgment decisions
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to bend or reach to a height of 6 feet with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Normal or corrected vision range and the ability to distinguish letters and symbols
  • Requires eye/hand coordination, normal sense of smell, taste, touch and sound
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Work is typically in a work area that may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoke-filled
  • Work may be in small areas with a 3-foot access
  • Must be able to lift (how much?), reach, bend, push, pull, grasp
  • Constant contact with guests and team members
  • Must be able to work calmly under stressful conditions (increase in business volume)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma.
  2. Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
  3. Work may include weekends, nights, and early mornings.
  4. Must be able to deliver a tray of beverages weighing 15 pounds.
  5. Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain all local, state and federal regulatory permits as required by position.
  6. Knowledge of all drinks and appropriate call order
  7. Good people skills
  8. Able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  9. Above average manual dexterity
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience: Previous experience as a cocktail server, preferably in a similar environment
Licenses: Must be able to obtain all necessary work cards
