Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Concessions, this role is responsible for managing on-site concessions operations including staffing, inventory control, bar setup, product ordering, event execution, and guest-facing food & beverage service standards.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced live-event environments, understands high-volume concession operations, and is comfortable leading teams through event setup, service, breakdown, and operational troubleshooting. This role is highly operational and field-focused, requiring strong attention to detail, urgency, organization, and hospitality execution.


Key Responsibilities


Event Concessions Operations

  • Oversee on-site concessions operations during concerts, festivals, sporting events, private events, and experiential activations
  • Manage the setup, operation, and breakdown of bars, concession stands, portable beverage stations, VIP hospitality areas, and food service environments
  • Ensure all concessions areas are clean, organized, stocked, and operationally ready prior to event opening
  • Support event-day execution by monitoring service flow, staffing performance, inventory levels, and guest experience standards
  • Troubleshoot operational issues in real time and communicate needs or concerns to leadership promptly



Staffing & Team Management

  • Recruit, schedule, train, and supervise bartenders, barbacks, cashiers, concessions staff, and temporary event labor
  • Coordinate staffing levels based on event size, operational needs, and projected attendance
  • Lead pre-event staff briefings and communicate service expectations, operational procedures, and event-specific details
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented, and hospitality-driven work environment
  • Monitor staff performance and support operational accountability during live events



Inventory, Ordering & Product Management

  • Assist with product ordering, requisitioning, and inventory management for all concessions operations
  • Monitor inventory levels for alcohol, beverages, mixers, dry goods, disposables, ice, supplies, and operational materials
  • Coordinate event inventory pulls and ensures proper product distribution across bars and concession locations
  • Track product usage and assist with post-event inventory reconciliation and reporting
  • Support loss prevention and proper handling of inventory and operational supplies



Beverage Program & Menu Support

  • Assist with building beverage menus, cocktail offerings, and concessions product selections based on event type and audience
  • Support drink recipe development, bar setup standards, and operational consistency across events
  • Ensure proper presentation and execution of branded beverage programs and sponsor integrations
  • Collaborate with concessions leadership on improving service efficiency and guest experience offerings



Logistics & Operational Support

  • Assist with loading, transporting, organizing, and setting up concession equipment and operational assets
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and venue operations teams to ensure timely setup and breakdown of concessions environments
  • Oversee organization and cleanliness of concession storage areas, bars, refrigeration units, and operational equipment
  • Ensure proper handling and maintenance of concession equipment, portable bars, refrigeration, draft systems, and POS stations



Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws, health department standards, food safety procedures, and venue operational policies
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all concession operations
  • Monitor responsible alcohol service practices and operational safety during events
  • Assist with maintaining operational permits, certifications, and event compliance requirements when necessary



Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in concessions, bars, hospitality, catering, festivals, live events, or food & beverage operations
  • Experience managing high-volume food & beverage or event operations preferred
  • Strong understanding of bar operations, beverage service, concessions logistics, and inventory management
  • Experience supervising event staff, bartenders, or hospitality teams
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and solutions-oriented in fast-paced event environments
  • Hands-on work ethic with the ability to actively support operational execution
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended event hours



Preferred Experience

  • Experience in concerts, festivals, stadiums, arenas, nightlife, or experiential hospitality environments preferred
  • Knowledge of liquor brands, beverage programs, cocktail development, or event hospitality operations preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management systems preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred



Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events
  • Ability to lift and move inventory, kegs, equipment, and operational supplies up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in outdoor event environments, bars, kitchens, warehouses, and active production sites
  • Ability to work extended operational hours during event builds and live events
