SUPPLY CHAIN SYSTEMS DEVELOPER

REPORTS TO: SR. MANAGER, SUPPLY CHAIN SYSTEMS

STATUS: EXEMPT

The Supply Chain Systems (SCS) Developer is a pivotal role responsible for enhancing and ensuring the optimal performance of our supply chain systems. This individual will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and refining systems to meet emerging business demands and initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

System Management & Enhancement:

  • Oversee the maintenance and improvement of all Supply Chain Software Systems, including but not limited to: Warehouse Management Software (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Hai Robotics Systems, 3PL Scanning System, and interfaces with External System/Service Providers.
  • Design and implement business logic, web layouts, printed forms, and system interfaces.
  • Ensure adherence to company and coding standards, focusing on compliance with PCI and SOX regulations.

Application Development & Deployment:

  • Spearhead the design, deployment, and maintenance of applications and services, collaborating closely with business representatives to validate results.
  • Conduct regular QA, document findings, and initiate code rectifications for the WMS, WCS, and related software upgrades.
  • Streamline system changes to amplify operations, diminish labor inefficiencies, and bolster the quality of operations.

Operational Excellence:

  • Establish and uphold best practices across all distribution centers, ensuring systems function within these set standards.
  • Collaborate actively with the Distribution Center Management team to garner feedback and optimize Supply Chain Systems processes.

Integration & Communication:

  • Serve as the central point of contact between the WMS and other key Boot Barn Systems such as the ERP, WCS, GTMS's Manifest System, and Hai Robotics System.
  • Communicate proactively with technical, applications, and operational teams to preserve service reliability, data integrity, and security.

Innovation & Analysis:

  • Proactively scout for RFPs and conduct comprehensive benefit/cost analyses for potential system upgrades, ensuring the organization stays ahead of technological advancements.
  • This role is integral to ensuring that our supply chain operates seamlessly, and as such, the ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and adept at both technical development and cross-functional communication.

  • Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • An Associate's degree in Programming & Information Technology or related field is essential. A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred. Equivalent professional experience can also be considered.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years working with Distribution Center (DC) systems, including but not limited to: HighJump and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SQL or similar programming languages.
  • At least 1 year of practical experience in utilizing APIs.
  • A thorough grasp of the nuances of Supply Operations, with insights into their influence on broader business goals and customer experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability in effective communication across all organizational levels - from entry-level staff to Senior Management. This includes both written and oral communication.
  • Candidates should possess a blend of technical proficiency, operational insight, and strong interpersonal skills to succeed in this role.

PAY RANGE: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00/yr*

*compensation varies based on geography, skills, experience, and tenure
