Job description

DMC Harper University Hospital has distinguished itself in surgery and medicine and is known for its clinical expertise and innovative research. A specialty referral hospital, Harper has established Centers of Excellence in neurosciences, bariatric surgery, vascular services, multidisciplinary cardiovascular services, hypertension, stroke prevention and heart failure.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, coordinates and oversees administration and clinical activities of inpatient/ outpatient Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program such as patient scheduling, developing and administering office procedures and policies, record keeping mechanisms and administration of established protocols. 

  • Ensures compliance of protocols and provides interpretation of procedural intent as requested. 
  • Develops daily, monthly and/or yearly goals and measures for program and, as requested, assists in assessment of goal attainment. 
  • Collects and provides information for government regulating agencies; assists with grant proposal writing; coordinates various research studies. 
  • Provides clinical guidance to patients and their families; follows up on medical issues/concerns; coordinates discharge planning functions. Acts as liaison with center personnel, hospital management and outside facilities to coordinate clinical activities. Assists in developing and monitoring budget for area. 

1. Bachelors degree in Nursing.

2. Three to five years clinical patient care experience in hospital or outpatient facility. Previous experience with targeted patient population preferred.

3. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
