SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Provideadministrative and clerical support to the Barge Maintenance Department with afocus on support to the Director and Office Manager by performing the followingduties:

SUPERVISION:

Reports to:ย  ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Barge Maintenance Office Manager

Supervises:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  This position has nosupervisory responsibilitiesย 

ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Serveas a contact for vessel crew questions regarding barge maintenance issues.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Workin conjunction with the Barge Maintenance Office Manager to ensure purchaseorders are properly provided and coded to work orders. This may includeresearching purchase orders, invoices and work orders.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Utilizecomputer applications: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SAP, TowWorks and anyfuture databases the company may implement.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Maintainthe Barge Maintenance Department on call schedule.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Daily,review work orders and assist the Director of Barge Maintenance in prioritizingand assigning port engineers to assignments.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Followthrough with completion of work orders by the port engineers to ensure detailsare included in work orders.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Accurateand detailed entry of work order documentation into the company database, toinclude adding information to the "requires repairs/needs attention" and followup.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Prepareand submit the Daily Hand Off Report.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Responsiblefor the bi-annual engine service, the orders and tracking delivery status ofthe kits.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Assistthe Barge Maintenance Officer Manager with vetting questions, responses, andsolutions for response to the Compliance Department.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Attendsall morning status meetings and provides input and follow-up.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Performother related duties, as assigned, to ensure efficient and effective functionof the Barge Maintenance Department.


QUALIFICATIONS

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Musthave a proven high level of accuracy.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Mustbe detailed in composing and proofing all documentation and materials.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Mustbe able to read, write and speak clearly in the English language.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย High School diploma or GED required; Collegepreferred.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย One(1) to Two (2) years of Clerical experience.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Proficiencyin or knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including butnot limited to Excel and Microsoft Word software.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Highlevel of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situationsand documentation.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Knowledgeof office administration procedures.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Abilityto operate most standard office equipment.
