Purpose:


Selling service parts, bulk fluids, attachments and accessories. In addition, performs in-store customer service, overall organizational promotion, and stocking duties. Identifies and provides complete parts solutions for customers.


Responsibilities:

o Quickly establish rapport and relationship with customers

o Provides quality customer experience through knowledge, use of systems, and process execution

o Provides parts recommendations including alternatives that meet customers’ needs

o Fulfills online orders in timely manner and places in will call area

o Effective use of computer applications including Sales Manual, JD Parts®, Parts Expert®, JD Point®, PartsAdvisor®, barcode system and Dealer Business System

o Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required

o Assists with preparing and maintaining professional showroom image and merchandise displays

o Maintains inventory integrity by verifying receipting-in of shipments and assisting with placing parts orders in their proper inventory locations; assisting in cycle counts; following up on inventory discrepancies and expediting issues by reporting to the Parts Sales Lead

o Assists in keeping parts department clean and orderly

o Assists in maintaining all departmental tools and equipment in good working order

o Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set

o Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service

o Ensure that company’s reputation and image in the community is consistent with company Core Values

Requirements:

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

o High School diploma or equivalent experience

o Ability to connect with customers, maintain professional image, establish rapport

o Understands basic selling processes

o Basic data entry/keyboarding skills and experience utilizing basic computer programs, for example Microsoft based products

o Experience working both independently and in a team setting

o Physical ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.

o Highly developed interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

o Basic parts and machinery knowledge

Success Profile:

o Achieves $1,000,000 average parts sales per parts counter salesperson in a rolling 12-month period

o Maintains 28% to 32% gross margin on sales

o Contributes to the freight recovery goal of breakeven

Contributes to overall net promoter score of greater than 75%
