Our centers of excellence include Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Heart Hospital, Baptist Neurological Institute and Wolfson Children's Hospital.

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant III to join our Free Standing Emergency Department at our Baptist North location. This is a full-time day shift opportunity working Monday - Friday, from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant III, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.

  • Communicating laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.

  • Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.

  • Utilizing computer functions.

Experience Requirements:

  • Less than 1 year Phlebotomy Experience

  • Specimen Processing Experience

Education & Credential Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED Required

  • Associate's Degree Preferred

  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician Preferred
