Banquets-Floor Supervisor
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquets Floor Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and assisting with the setup, service, and cleanup of all assigned banquet functions. Also ensures quality of service, compliance with health, safety, and sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love-guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You'll enhance the guest and associate experience by ensuring exceptional service delivery through effective team leadership, prompt issue resolution, and a welcoming environment.
Starting Rate: $17.00 an Hour
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect the setup of meeting and banquet functions, checking them against the banquet event orders (BEO's).
  • Supervise and assist with the setup of assigned catered functions, ensuring that the hotel's standards are met, and advance preparation for service is adequate to allow efficient service to the guest once the function begins.
  • Assist Banquet Manager with the creation of the banquet work schedules and completion of banquet wage progress reports.
  • Supervise and assist with the breakdown after the completion of functions to ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.

What We're Looking For
  • 1 year of supervisory or management experience in food service or the hospitality industry in a convention center or large hotel (over 500 room property) is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a server and set-up houseperson is required.
  • Having a broad understanding of the tourism industry and the day-to-day operations of a hotel/resort are helpful.
