Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team.  As the driving force behind generating new sales leads and contacts, the successful candidate will be pivotal in our continued growth and success in the exhibition sales industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leveraging Salesforce, LinkedIn, and other tools to research, contact, and connect with marketing/sales professionals across Fortune 1000 organizations 
  • Utilize Salesforce to track and report on prospect interactions, manage sales pipeline, and analyze performance metrics.
  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities through outbound calling to engage, consult, and set appointments for Account Executives.
  • Focus on outbound campaigns and business development activities (calls, emails, social media) as well as promptly following up on inquiries coming from our awesome marketing programs.
  • Leverage proven consultative sales methodologies to analyze the prospect's businesses to address their changing automation needs
  • Leverage current technology to develop and manage a follow-up cadence to systematically nurture potential leads that aren't quite ready to buy.
  • Participate in interactive training & educational sessions to stay abreast of changes in Ion Exhibits products/services and the exhibit industry as a whole
  • Consistently achieve and/or exceed daily activity and sales targets.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field.
  • Experience using Salesforce and LinkedIn to track account related data.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross departmentally in a customer facing role.
  • Demonstrated "natural curiosity" and desire to continually seek deeper insights and information.
  • Experience developing business relationships and delivering on stakeholder expectations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Understanding of B2B Marketing and trade shows/face-to-face marketing events
  • Understanding of marketing automation and conversion tracking
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Proficient in the use of CRM (Salesforce preferred)
