Banking Operations Analyst (Loans)

What you'll do:

As a Operations Business Analyst, you'll oversee a full range of activities to ensure operational effectiveness and accurate data collection within banking systems and processes. You'll provide expertise to lead initiatives focused on reimagining operational processes by designing technical solutions that support internal business units. Working with cross-operational teams, you'll develop a deep understanding of current and future processes, create intuitive user-friendly designs, and manage these solutions through development, testing and delivery. Some of your key responsibilities include project management and collaborating with stakeholders to develop effective process solutions and business requirements. In this role, you must think critically, demonstrate independent resourcefulness, take ownership, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business. This includes being flexible and a resourceful team player with a "get it done" attitude capable of thriving in fast-paced environments.
  • Design products and features, enhance user experience, and ensure data availability to improve banking processes.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams throughout the Bank to design and integrate processes spanning multiple systems.
  • Manage team priorities, individual projects, iterative improvements, and tech-debt.
  • Work with teams and managers to develop data driven solution designs, while documenting process improvement needs.
  • Summarize, track, train and communicate updates and changes to the end users. Assist in analyzing, resolving, and correcting design or solution issues while communicating impacts and timelines to affected users.
  • Facilitate project planning, develop business and reporting requirements, and conduct application testing to ensure a successful application deployment.
  • Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, automate tasks, and support decision-making.
  • Identify and implement AI-driven solutions to enhance business processes and productivity.
  • Use AI technologies to analyze data, generate insights, and support reporting needs.

What you'll need:

  • 6+ years of related experience in Branch Banking Operations, Commercial Lending, Data Management, Process Improvement or System Design. or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, Power BI, and SQL. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio/Lucid, and ADO.
  • Intermediate experience in project management methodologies, and ability to prioritize multiple projects and objectives in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Intermediate level of organization and attention to detail, with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to manage competing priorities, demonstrating flexibility, resourcefulness, and a collaborative approach in fast-paced environments.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Occasional travel required.
