Job Summary

Branch Banking Market Leader provides comprehensive leadership to a designated market of branch locations to transform how we deliver financial success to both individuals and businesses. Responsible for building high performing, diverse teams, while coaching the team on how best to deliver an educational experience to truly empower the client. Foster working relationships with entire staff by teaching, empowering, mentoring and holding teams accountable to delivering not only the results, but more importantly the behaviors that define our company culture. Responsible for the expansion of existing business relationships, the development of new business and CRA activities. Position is responsible for being a role model for Flagstar Bank's client-centric culture, while embracing diversity and maintaining ethics and integrity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coaching & Talent Development:Successfullyacquire, engage, andretainappropriate staffto deliver on expectations. Coach, motivate, and support the strategic initiatives by providing outstanding client service and performance by leading a team of Branch Leaders within designateddistrict, through feedback, leadership,guidanceand development opportunities.Ensure thatleadersare doing the same and coaching their teams effectivelyby valuing client centric mindsetand modeling the right behaviors.Identifyopportunities for individual development and career pathing.Whenappropriate, provide disciplinary actions and exit non-performers while adhering to company policies.

  • Community Engagement:ObservetheBranch Leadersfrom the perspective of theclientto truly deliver an educational experience that empowers the client.Identifytailored skillsets to deliver specialized activities to our clients. Execute skill building training for specific job families as needed.Identify,supportand be personally involved inCRA opportunities withinyourdistrictcommunities.Promote and model the company standard of always doing what is best for the client by providing recommendations to improve the financial quality of their life by educating and empowering.Promote a vision and plan that focuses on client service and meeting the needs of our clients based on their financial goals. Ensurean excellentclient experience by being knowledgeable of all bank products and services, providing outstanding client service, and resolving problems to prevent client dissatisfaction.

  • Market & Performance Management:Introduce efficiencies by creating capacity for deeper, meaningful, profitable conversations that help branches reach their goals.Operational efficiency and accuracy as itrelatesto policies,proceduresand compliance.Establishes business contacts and networks through community events and activities.Ensure collaboration between branch team members and business partners (MLOs,FCsand Business Banking).Partner closely with Market Operations Leader to ensure operations compliance.

  • RiskManagement:Clearly communicate strategic initiatives and how each aligns with Flagstar Bank's vision as well as the performanceobjectivesof the branch.Remove roadblocks to the execution of the bank's strategic plans.This role isfully aware ofany and all auditissues throughoutdivisionof responsibility and responds to audit inquiries when necessary.Reinforces the bank's mission,visionand values by serving as a culture agent, motivating employees to achieve higherstandardsand promoting a commitment to excellence in service, sales knowledge/learning, and technology driven products and processes.

ADDITIONALACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, andadditionalduties and responsibilities asrequired.

  • Consistently adheresto regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listedand complete required compliance trainings.Accountable tomaintaincompliance with applicable federal,stateand local laws and regulations.

  • May be responsible for talent management functions including: employment, performance evaluations, staff development/training, disciplinary actions, succession planning and ensuring all staff comply with compliance requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education levelrequired:High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent.

  • 8+yearsbranch banking experience required with 6+ of those yearsin a leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field highly preferred, but less formal educationwith more on the job experience may be substituted.

  • Provenclientservice skills and the ability to resolve problems and preventclientdissatisfaction.

  • Proven ability to lead people, projects, sales campaigns, etc. for the market.

  • Proventrack recordof exceeding goal expectations by exemplifyingappropriate behaviorsand values.

  • Ability to develop strong partnerships with other business units.

  • Ability to inspire others and to work with employees at all levels.

  • Strong listening,verbaland written communication skills.

  • Demonstrates a strong ability to build andmaintaineffective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly,engaging in proactive collaboration, andleveragingcross functionalinsights.Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results.

  • Buildstrusted client relationships, whether internal or external, byidentifyingneeds and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience.

  • Fosters orsupportsa positive work culture and productive work environment, displayingimportanceof effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.

  • Travel requirements:65%of time spent away fromoffice.

  • Physical demands (ADA):The job requires a moderate degree of physical exertion and stamina such as standing, sitting, walking, driving or infrequent lifting.
