Commercial Lending Market Leader

Position Summary

The Commercial Lender will be responsible for representing the bank brand, developing and servicing loan and deposit volumes for the Frisco market in which it operates and public relations of new business in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Bank.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Responsible for the overall branch administration
  • Oversee Commercial Lending team, mentor, coach and perform evaluations;
  • Responsible for the Market Lending production as well as personal production and lending duties. This includes the following:
  • Meet with existing and potential customers to solicit quality sound loans that meet the bank's lending philosophy and conform to Policy guidelines;
  • Review loan applications and financial information, including collateral. Oversee the preparation of documentation and completion of loan closing. Manage denials and withdrawals
  • Maintain proper file documentation, manage the existing portfolio as well as manage and eliminate credit and collateral exceptions
  • Manage past due and problem loans relationships
  • Service account relationships by approving various negotiable instruments for deposit, transferring funds, authorizing checks for cashing and determining disposition of daily overdrafts
  • Develop new deposit and loan relationships. This includes the following activity:
    • Prospect new relationships through outside calling program, manage current bank relationships to obtain potential customer referrals as well as opportunities to nurture and strengthen customer loyalty
    • Focus on growth of all direct and ancillary products and services to increase market share
    • Participate actively in community events, professional networking organizations and civic activities
  • Work with customers regarding complaint resolution and/or problems ensuring customer satisfaction with Bank products and services:
  • Attend and present to loan committees if applicable
  • Perform other work-related duties, as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field required;
  • Five (5) years' of commercial lending experience required; and
  • Five (5) years' of banking experience required.

Qualifications:

  • Must have proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office software;
  • Must have a solid understanding of accounting and finance;
  • Must have knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures;
  • Must have analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills;
  • Must be able to balance multiple tasks and projects simultaneously within a limited time frame;
  • Must be able to pay attention to detail and strong organizational, communication and customer relation skills;
