Summary of the Job:
The Senior Analyst serves as a key technical expert within the bank's credit risk management function, providing advanced analytical support and insights to drive informed credit decisions. This experienced professional conducts in-depth analysis of credit portfolios, develops and enhances risk models, including consumer bank loss forecasting models and produces comprehensive reporting to support risk management strategies. The position requires strong analytical capabilities combined with business acumen to translate complex credit data into actionable recommendations. The Senior Analyst works with minimal supervision while providing guidance to junior team members, serving as a bridge between technical analysis and practical business application in credit risk management.
About This Role:

Major responsibilities:
  • Develop executive dashboards highlighting key credit card risk metrics and communicate card portfolio insights to risk committees, marketing, finance teams and strategy forums among others.
  • Analyze customer acquisition channels and partners to optimize risk-adjusted returns and create early warning indicators for detecting deteriorating credit quality.
  • Comprehensive analysis of credit card portfolio performance metrics including delinquency, charge-off, and utilization patterns.
  • Analyze customer-level behavior including transactor/revolver patterns and payment behaviors and evaluate risk-adjusted returns across card products, segments, and acquisition channels
  • Perform statistical analyses to identify data trends and relationships and develop and maintain credit risk forecasting models. Apply time series analysis, survival analysis, and other modeling techniques to develop credit loss forecasting models.
  • Document developed models according to the model risk policies. Communicate statistical analyses and forecast results, working with cross-functional areas, to ensure successful implementation.
  • Work with Finance to provide loss forecasts for marketing planning, portfolio purchases, and reserve for bad debt and portfolio stress testing, while ensuring applicability, efficiency, and accuracy of underlying statistical models and methodologies utilized.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of consumer and/or small business card
  • Understanding statistical techniques and modeling
  • Knowledge of loss forecasting methods
  • Ability to work independently with data to identify complex business trends and propose solutions.
  • SQL, Python, SAS and PowerBI

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative fields such as Math, Physics, Statistics, engineering, Computer Science required. Advanced degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Credit management or Credit Risk Forecasting or other highly analytical business field.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to present recommendations and influence senior management.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle stress, meet deadlines and work independently.

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
Compensation:
Compensation range (base pay): $81,662.00-$134,741.00
This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.
Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
Work Environment:
It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays. We provide the tools and technology to ensure seamless transitions between work environments, supporting your productivity wherever you are. Please note that work location is subject to change based on business needs.
