Summary

A Middle-Market Investment Bank & Advisory firm is looking for an Investment Banking Associate with a minimum of 2 years of investment banking experience to join their team onsite in Delray Beach, FL or Cleveland, OH. The Investment Banking Associate will work across a variety of different transactions (including acquisitions, restructuring, capital structuring, valuations/opinions) involved in all stages from due diligence to financial modeling, developing marketing materials, investor outreach, client relations and closing.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Managing Directors, Directors, Vice Presidents, Analysts, and clients through all phases of execution
  • Build and present complex financial analysis and modeling (valuation analysis/modeling, projections, LBO, DCF, public comparables, historical M&A transactions, etc.)
  • Gathering, reviewing and analyzing due diligence materials and processes
  • Drafting of client presentations, preparing comprehensive pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations and marketing materials
  • Conducting financial and other business-related research
  • Coordinating complex and often time-sensitive processes
  • Active involvement in client-facing situations
  • Assistance in the execution of transactions


Experience Required:

  • Active SIE, Series 79 and Series 63 licenses highly preferred or must be able to obtain in a reasonable timeframe once hired.
  • Minimum of 2 years of current/recent sell-side M&A advisory or Investment Banking experience. Middle-market experience highly preferred!
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other closely related field. MBA/Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong experience building complex financial models in Excel and preparing business valuations
  • Experience creating pitchbooks, proposals and client presentations
  • Extensive experience in research, data analysis and performing in-depth due diligence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook is required
