Up to 50 hour (dependent on experience)

As a Sonographer at Nuffield Health Oxford Hospital you'll bring high levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately. You have a great eye for detail and you're caring by nature with excellent teamwork skills.

We are a large and friendly team and would love you to be part of providing excellent care to the patients of Oxfordshire and beyond! The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit with many opportunities to progress.

What will the role of a Sonographer involve?

  • This role calls for equal excellence in technical and people skills

  • You'll need high levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately

  • You'll deliver high quality ultrasound imaging & reporting for a varied caseload within the department, and on the ward as required.

  • The role will be largely based around Gynaecology service and patients

What are we looking for in a Sonographer?

  • You'll have a BSc degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Post-Graduate diploma / DMU in Medical Ultrasound

  • Post registration experience of general ultrasound imaging and reporting to include Gynae pelvis scanning.

  • Experience of managing an ultrasound quality assurance programme will also be an advantage.

  • You must have excellent communication and IT skills, along with a good understanding of how to encourage and promote effective team work

As a Bank Worker, you'll be called on to provide cover during periods of sickness, holidays or increased workload. We'll give you a uniform and personal protective equipment. You won't be classified as an employee, so there'll be no fixed working pattern, or entitlement to guaranteed or continuous employment.
