Project Manager, Embedded Finance

What does a successful Project Manager for Embedded Finance do?

As a Project Manager for Embedded Finance Initiatives, you will lead implementation-focused projects that connect clients, partners, and internal teams to Embedded Finance solutions. You will coordinate delivery activities across product, technology, operations, and external stakeholders to support onboarding, readiness, execution, and launch. This role helps drive consistent implementation outcomes, clear communication, and reliable delivery across financial services and payment environments.

What you'll do:

  • Lead implementation planning and delivery for Embedded Finance initiatives, including fintech, partner, and client onboarding projects.
  • Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and launch criteria in alignment with implementation requirements and business objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across product, engineering, operations, compliance, and client-facing functions to support implementation readiness and execution.
  • Manage implementation timelines, risks, issues, action items, and decisions to keep projects on track through launch and stabilization.
  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to support solution onboarding, technical dependencies, testing coordination, and go-live planning.
  • Maintain implementation documentation, status reporting, meeting cadences, and governance materials to provide clear visibility into project health and next steps.
  • Monitor project progress, evaluate changes in scope or timeline, and adjust implementation plans to support delivery outcomes.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide regular updates on milestones, blockers, integration readiness, and launch activities.
  • Support delivery for third-party payment platform and processing initiatives within Embedded Finance environments.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 8+ years of experience managing implementation projects from initiation through launch and post-launch stabilization using Agile methodologies in technology or financial services environments.
  • 8+ years of experience managing projects in the financial services industry, including client implementations, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional delivery coordination.
  • 6+ years of experience supporting Embedded Finance, fintech, payment processing, or third-party platform implementations.
  • 6+ years of experience managing project plans, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and budgets for technology-focused implementation programs.
  • 5+ years of experience coordinating testing, launch readiness, and go-live activities across internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • 5+ years of experience creating implementation documentation, status reporting, and governance materials using project management tools and standard delivery frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience leading large-scale client implementations across multiple workstreams, stakeholders, or deployment phases.
  • Experience supporting application programming interface (API)-enabled implementation programs.
  • Experience working with vendor-managed solutions and external delivery partners.

Salary Range

$100,000.00 - $162,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
