Supervises the daily activities of a single complex or multiple operations units. Determines work flow and scheduling. Develops cross functional working relationships to identify areas of efficiencies, process improvements. Implements operational polices and procedures. Assists with Risk and Mitigation Reporting. Familiar with multiple systems and applications and understands the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Provides leadership to team including facilitating meetings, regular colleague one on one's, providing mentoring and coaching opportunities in addition to handling conflict resolution and motivation of staff. Responsible for writing, submitting and discussions with colleagues for review process.Job Accountabilities
Supervises, plans, organizes and assigns work flow of a single complex or multiple operations unit(s) or department(s).
Responsible for attracting, hiring training and developing talent. Provides honest, helpful and timely feedback to colleagues on performance. Conveys trust in colleague's competencies to do their jobs. Makes accurate evaluations of colleague capabilities and fit. Is responsible for handling conflict, employee relations, productivity tracking, service level standards, performance appraisals, recognition, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations. Implements institution policies and procedures in relation to operations.
Ensures that controls and procedures are adhered to and kept current regarding audit, SOP and security regulations.
Researches, analyzes, recommends and resolves complex work problems within the functional area.
Keeps informed of new developments and technology, which would affect the Department. Ensures that training is up to date, through trade or other publications. Attends outside visits and meetings. Trains and develops back office staff.
Exercises authority, as defined by the manager, to make exceptions to policy and procedures.
Reviews recommendations from staff concerning new methods and procedures to make daily operations within the department more efficient.
Builds cross functional relationships to continuously improve and enhance work flows.
Education
Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Required

Required

  • 3 to 5 years of leadership experience, such as a lead, work director, supervisor, or team manager role
  • Experience overseeing workflows, coaching employees, and driving team performance in an operations, service, or production environment

Preferred

  • Experience in banking operations or financial services
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment with established controls, policies, and compliance requirements
  • Exposure to multiple operational functions or business areas
