SUMMARY
The Senior Private Banker develops and manages a portfolio of high-net-worth relationships. Serving as the primary point of contact, this banker provides comprehensive support and account management for a select client base of professionals and high-net-worth individuals.
The ideal candidate has significant experience in managing client relationships, financial expertise, and a consultative mindset. Success in this role requires the ability to understand complex client needs, build trust, and deliver tailored banking solutions with discretion and consistency.
This position plays a vital role in expanding and retaining the organization's high-net-worth client relationships. Through personalized service and strong relationship stewardship, the Senior Private Banker directly supports revenue growth and reinforces the company's reputation as a trusted financial partner.
All employees are expected to protect the information and assets of the organization through heightened awareness of information security, cybersecurity, and risk management best practices, as well as complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth and professional clients by identifying complex or evolving needs and coordinating banking solutions aligned with client goals.
  • Proactively cultivate relationships with current and prospective clients aligned to the target customer base, promoting loan and deposit solutions to meet individual client needs and achieve assigned growth objectives.
  • Maintain an organized system for tracking customer relationships, prospects, and ongoing business development activities.
  • Own the overall performance and strategy of assigned portfolio by driving relationship profitability, retention, and growth across deposits, loans, and ancillary services.
  • Lead and influence internal deal teams by coordinating cross-functional partners, guiding execution, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience across all touchpoints; Maintain operational proficiency to ensure continuity of service.
  • Develop and execute targeted business development strategies by leveraging centers of influence, professional networks, and market insight to expand the private banking client base.
  • Exercise sound judgment and accountability in ensuring all client relationships and transactions align with bank policy, regulatory requirements, and reputational risk standards.
  • Represent the Bank within the community and relevant business networks to enhance market presence, expand referral channels, and support deposit growth initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to Private Bankers as appropriate, providing guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to strengthen team performance.
  • Assume responsibility for special projects and tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, a related field, or a commensurate combination of education and experience required.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in developing and managing relationships with high-net-worth clients.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Exceptional business development, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, with the ability to identify sales opportunities, provide meaningful product recommendations, and support an overall culture of sales excellence.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of deposit and lending operations.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements with an understanding of how these rules and regulations apply to sales functions within a financial institution.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to remain organized and produce accurate, efficient work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to analyze potential project outcomes with the adaptability to redirect attention as needed to meet targets and deadlines.
