TITLE: Compliance Auditor II

DEPARTMENT: 996-Internal Audit/Loan Review/Compliance

Location: In-Office near Des Moines IA or Quad Cities IA/IL


JOB SUMMARY:

The Compliance Auditor II is responsible for assisting in the completion of the regulatory compliance audit schedule for QCR Holdings, Inc., and its subsidiaries. Perform operational, functional, and compliance reviews and testing. Work closely with other audit staff and bank management to ensure timely completion of compliance audits.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with department managers to ensure requested items are received correctly and promptly.
  • Perform functional audits, procedural reviews, and testing including reviews of complex regulatory requirements and business units.
  • Conduct employee and manager interviews to obtain an understanding of the auditable unit.
  • Compile and analyze complex data and formulate conclusions by preparing workpapers and audit reports that detail findings and recommendations.
  • Evaluate and test established internal controls, policies and procedures for the Banks’ compliance programs.
  • Identify and complete non-standard procedures required to satisfy audit objectives based on fieldwork or issues identified in the course of reviews.
  • Prepares written draft audit reports to management detailing audit results for compliance audit management’s review.
  • Recommend changes to audit steps and workpapers based on fieldwork, regulatory changes, and/or business unit changes.
  • As directed by Audit Management, assist with reviewing other internal auditors’ work/completion of audit steps along with providing constructive feedback & review comments. Verify the auditor cleared review comments accordingly and ensure draft report is ready for Senior Auditor/Supervisor’s review.
  • Maintain audit and regulatory compliance knowledge and through training programs, seminars, and publications. Expand technical knowledge of all subsidiaries’ departments through employee interaction.

Continually develop and expand compliance audit skills as well as develop best practices.

  • Comply with all company and regulatory policies, procedures and requirements that are applicable to this position.
  • Foster and preserve a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required to support the company’s mission, vision and values.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or the equivalent in related work experience. A strong technical background with banking, compliance, or auditing experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years bank regulatory compliance experience, preferably with bank regulatory compliance auditing.
  • Compliance certification such as CCBCO.
  • Experience with banking compliance regulations with the ability to read, interpret, and simplify technical and complex regulatory information.
  • Ability to work independently, perform duties objectively and have a proven ability to communicate effectively.
  • Sound judgement and keen sense of urgency, accuracy, and initiative.
  • Working knowledge of computers, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and various banking applications.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Duties performed in a professional office environment.
  • Minimal travel to all QCRH company locations, as needed.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

The minimum salary range for this position is $65,000 annually. The actual starting salary will be based on qualifications and business needs and may vary, as permitted by applicable state law.

This position is a regular full-time position and individuals employed as regular full-time are eligible for the following benefits subject to the terms, limitations and conditions of each benefit plan: Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, FSA, HSA, 401K, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and additional Voluntary Supplemental Insurance.
