Job description

The Operational Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for the performance and attendance of a team of accounting processors performing cash posting, remote bank deposits, refunds, client invoicing, cost check processing, bank reconciliations, and other duties as assigned. The Supervisor will ensure the team meets departmental standards for quality and quantity of. This position has daily, weekly and monthly deadlines. This is an in office position with no remote opportunities. Strong supervisor experience required.

Supervising the Debtor Posting Process

Post & deposit all debtor payments

On-line ACH/Credit Card payments

Deposit A/R payments from Clients

Overpayments and refunds

Payments pertaining to closed debtors accounts must be sent to respective client within 5 business days.

Reverse any NSF debtor payments daily

Research consumer payment issues

Supervising the Client Remittance - Disbursing client's portion of debtor collections and invoice for fees and advanced costs

Remittance Process/Schedule - Daily, Weekly, Mid-Month, End of Month.

Fully understand and ensure special billing process is adhered to for each client.

Ensure that all ACH/Check payments to clients (disbursement of debtor funds) are processed according to schedule.

Resolve any client questions or concerns.

Supervise Advanced Cost Check printing process

Ensure that all requests for advance cost checks are processed daily.

Ensure that voided requests of checks are reversed.

Assist Director of Accounting with handling bank reconciliation exceptions

Supervise the client specific projects related to costs and fee reconciliation.

Suggests efficiency improvements among all departmental functions.

Perform quality checks for operational Accounting tasks.

Assist with hiring, training and team development.

Ensure teams daily workflow is completed in adherence to internal and external deadlines.
