Project Manager

Banesco USA is seeking a consultant Project Manager for our Project Management Office for a 1 year contract with the possibility of renewal.


Primary Job Duties

  • Responsible to manage all phases of the assigned projects life cycle: Initiation, Planning (including budget), Executing and Controlling, and Closing.
  • Ability to Manage multiple project teams, with multidisciplinary members of different professional and fictional levels.
  • Working with project sponsors and stakeholders to determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Gather requirements and document projects vision and objectives.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Defines, communicates, and manages the project team by defining roles responsibilities and mutual agreements that ensure adherence the project plan and implementation goal.
  • Conduct the analysis and document functional and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Communicates, facilitates, and negotiates the resolution of conflicts and issues including possible risks and corrective actions related to assigned projects with the respective project teams and/or stakeholders.
  • Monitor, controls and document on a timely and consistent schedule, all administrative progress of the assigned projects, with quality and detail, from the beginning to end of the project according to the bank’s PMO standards.
  • Creates and/or facilitates project’s charter and cost benefit analysis with business unit sponsor(s)
  • Preparing and controlling budget execution of projects and Business Case (if necessary)
  • Support the team on continuing improve the Project Management processes, procedures and practices, promoting work efficiencies without changing the unit’s prime objective.
  • Able to influence those with whom there is no direct authority such as team members and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate, solid understanding of PMBOK, industry project management processes, methodologies, and advanced skill in MS Project.
  • Support the team on Annual Portfolio Creation process
  • Responsible for the project documentation through the whole life cycle (Minimal documentation required by project):
    1. Project Charter – Updates
    2. Cost Benefit Analysis and Business Case (if necessary)
    3. Create and maintain updated the Project definition document
    4. Risk Matrix (Monthly Updates)
    5. Kick off Meeting presentation
    6. Project Plan (GANTT), Communication Plan, Change Management Plan and Budget Plan
    7. Prepare Project Status Report to be presented at the Portfolio Committee (monthly)
    8. Portfolio Committee Presentation and documented change request (if necessary)
    9. Document and present Lessons Learned at the conclusion of the project and present it at the Portfolio Committee
    10. Assure Certification of Deliverables at the conclusion of the project is signed by all stakeholders

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business related field preferred or equivalent experience. Master’s Degree is highly preferred.
  • Experience: At least Five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Advanced computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), MS Project and Jira
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages.
  • Hybrid role.
