Historically, bandits have been depicted as highway robbers, train thieves, or outlaws operating outside the law, sometimes with a romanticized image. In modern times, the term can also be used metaphorically for competitive strategies in business, gaming, or cybersecurity. The role often involves risk-taking, strategic planning, and evasion of authorities. While traditional banditry is illegal, some industries use the term playfully to describe unconventional or aggressive tactics.
