Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia services across cardiac, thoracic, vascular, burn, neuro, trauma, pediatric, and pain management specialties.

  • Deliver anesthesia care in both scheduled and emergent cases.

  • Participate in anesthesia residency education and mentoring.

  • Maintain documentation in MHS Genesis and BAMC electronic anesthesia systems.

  • Fulfill on-call duties (average 2-4 per month, with 10-minute callback response).

  • Adhere to DoD, BAMC, and Joint Commission standards.
Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree.

  • Board Certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

  • Texas state medical license
    (unrestricted).

  • Active DEA registration.

  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA or Red Cross only).

  • Minimum 5 years' anesthesia experience
    within the last 10 years, including cardiac, pediatric, trauma, and critical care.

  • 4 years of anesthesia residency teaching/mentorship
    experience.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
