Lockheed Martin Space is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Reentry Flight Test Project Team. This Team is responsible for the development, build, test, and delivery of experimental instrumented Reentry Bodies (RBs).
Your primary responsibility will be to provide overall Systems Engineer support to the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Telemetry Team within Reentry Flight Test Projects and Flight Test Integration. In addition, you will work in a support role under the direction of a team lead responsible for a flight test project, with the emphasis on telemetry development/coordination and analysis. Occasional travel may be required.
Other duties include but are not limited to:
• Requirements development and product verification
• Conduct Systems Engineering design reviews, document generation, and coordination with multiple disciplines to achieve project milestones including design (mechanical, electrical, RF & Software), flight sciences
• Assembly Integration and Test (AI&T), external contractors as well as the Navy customer
Must be detailed orientated an able to multitask consecutive projects simultaneously within project timelines.
Basic Qualifications
• Demonstrated knowledge of RF/Wireless Communication Technologies
• Solid understanding of Wireless/RF Technology to independently oversee Telemetry Development including design and coordination from initial design to final product delivery.
• Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
Desired skills
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
• Demonstrated knowledge of Systems Engineering disciplines
STEM Degree with emphasis in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Materials Science, etc.)
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to prepare reports, graphs, and visual presentation aids, perform measurements, and interpret data.
• Experience with Fleet Ballistic Missile program is preferred but not required. Reentry systems experience is a plus.
• Must be detailed orientated an able to multitask consecutive projects simultaneously within project timelines
• Must be able to work independently and in a small team environment.
• High level of accountability
• Experience with Model Based Systems
• Engineering is preferred but not required.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
• MATLAB, Simulink knowledge
• Software Development fundamentals (Python, C++, Java, Javascript)

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
