Job description

About this role:
Intermountain Health is seeking a Nocturnist Critical Care physician to join a team of experienced intensivists to work in the state-of-the-art facility at LDS Hospital, a 262-bed level II Certified Stroke Center, known for its clinical excellence, technological advancements, and focus on patient-centered care.
You can anticipate working in the ICU as an equal member of multi-disciplinary teams supporting advanced therapies for complex critically ill patients. The pulmonary and critical careteam iscurrently made up of 10 physicians and 6 APPs.
In this role you can anticipate:
  • Practicing at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Scheduled hours of 5pm-7:30am;5-6 nightshiftsper 4-weeks (part-time, 0.5 FTE)
  • 16-bed adult mixed medical/surgical ICU, caring for medical patients, general surgery, trauma (Level II ASC Trauma Hospital Accreditation), hematologic malignancies, and bone marrow transplant patients
  • Shared-services critical care model, supported by critical care advanced practice providers
  • Potential for up to 0.5 FTE nocturnist tele critical care available
  • LDS Hospital scheduled to open doors on new building in Downtown SLC in 2030

What youll bring:
  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • Residency training in Internal Medicine
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
  • Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Healths credentialing process
