Deli Bakery Associate โ€“Full Time/Part Time

Baking Experience

As a Deli Bakery Associate at Military Deli & Bakery Services you will have the opportunity to serve our nationโ€™s Military personnel and their families at one of our 103 US Military Commissary locations. At MDBS our number one goal is to demonstrate a love for food and a passion for people while creating excellent customer service experience for our well-deserving military customers!

This is Not a governmentย job- Everyone welcome!

Part time or Full time position- Shift from 7am- 3:30pm.

Job Description:

  • Demonstrate the ability to utilize commercial ovens.
  • Prepare, process, package, and label Bakery products.
  • Inspect Bakery products for quality and freshness, rotate products on display and remove products with expired shelf life.
  • Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer service, teamwork with positive communication, and assist other team members as needed.
  • Ensure proper sanitation of the department, equipment, and proper food handling/preparation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Experience in retail baking
  • Knowledge of frozen dough
  • Willing to cross-train in deli tasks as needed
  • Effective and friendly communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
  • Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
  • Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time
  • Team player
