The Bread Club is a neighborhood bakery from Dallas-based hospitality group Feels Like Home (www.flho.com). Led by Peter Edris (formerly of Frenchette Bakery in NYC), The Bread Club was created to celebrate the passion of bread making and the power it has to bring people together.

Our menu highlights artisan bread, viennoiserie, and sandwiches, all made in-house, alongside an exceptional coffee program that complements the bakery experience. Peter combines old-world French and Italian techniques with locally sourced ingredients and regionally grown grains milled fresh daily. The result is bread that’s not only delicious but also feels balanced and natural – the kind of bread you can enjoy every day.

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Kitchen Supervisor to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity for an experienced line cook or culinary professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and learn more about kitchen leadership and operations.

We’re looking for someone with at least 2 years of restaurant or bakery kitchen experience who enjoys working with a team, takes pride in their work, and is excited to grow. We’re happy to train the right person who has a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including supervising kitchen staff and ordering supplies
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant’s high standards.
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain a high level of performance and consistency.
  • Step in for the Head Chef as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a restaurant kitchen
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in kitchen equipment and tools, with a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
