Directly support the Lead Baker, Asst. Executive Pastry Chef,Executive Pastry Chef. Enforce all initiatives given, oversee theproduction responsibilities, and provide service to Guest and TeamMembers in a professional, efficient and courteous manner whilemaintaining a clean attractive environment, in accordance with allCompany standards, policies, and procedures. Follow set schedules andperform assigned duties. Possess the ability to work hands-on in anykitchen environment, including those involving a three-meal period andhigh volume production, and bake all types of cakes, pies, pastries,breads, and tortes for Guest services according to Station CasinosStandards and Specifications.
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Membersand Management. Six months of in-house training as a Baker's Helper orat least one year outside training in related fields. Have workingknowledge and basic understanding of all operations in the bakeshop.Demonstrate the ability to man 50% of the stations in the bakeshopwithout hesitation. Have the working knowledge and basic skills neededto safely operate bakery equipment, including but not limited to thesheeter, rack oven, and proofer. Have working knowledge of and basicability to use the proper tools, including but not limited to bakers'scales and spatulas. Be able to follow recipes accurately withoutsupervision. Demonstrate basic proficiency in decorating using pipingjells, icings, etc. Have the working knowledge and basic understandingnecessary to mix, including but not limited to wet mixing, dry mixing,creaming, and whipping. Have the knowledge and basic understandingnecessary to bake a variety of products. Have the working knowledge andbasic understanding necessary to assess Banquet Event Orders withoutassistance. Demonstrate basic ability to plate desserts.
