Bagging Machine Operator
COMPANY OVERVIEW
IMG Citrus, a leading integrated Citrus grower and marketer, based in Vero Beach Florida. Located in Indian River County, IMG Citrus operates as one of Florida's main distributors of fresh citrus. The company is vertically integrated --farming over 11,000 acres in Florida, and operating a state of the art Packinghouse, and a 185,000 square foot cold storage facility and refrigerated distribution center.
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Machine Operator operates the bagging machines, moves materials according to the production requirements and disposes of waste materials.
JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Setup and operate the machine to bagging needs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair.
  • Replenish machine with materials.
  • Clean work area - sweeping and picking up fruit and debris..
  • Safely operate the pallet jack.
  • Able to utilize the print and apply machine and assist other departments as needed.
  • Keep machines running efficiently with minimal downtime.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Ability to lift materials (50+ lbs) and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work independently and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Good vision and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills between Machine Operator, Supervisor and coworkers.
  • Dependable - job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations.
  • Know and abide by all company policies, Rules and Regulations
  • Observe safety procedures - report potentially unsafe conditions
  • Good interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with all levels of associates
  • Must be flexible with hours of operations
  • Ability to multitask

WORK HOURS & ENVIRONMENT
40+ hours work week and required to work additional hours during peak times or as needed. Weekends and nights are required as needed.
