COMPENSATION

Hourly pay for this role is $32.65

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.

  • Respond to and resolve baggage handling system faults promptly.

  • Transport and accurately sort baggage todesignatedareas.

  • Assistwith operational issues and basic maintenance tasks.

  • Report system issues and notify maintenance techniciansimmediately.

  • Manually scan baggage tags missed by automated systems.

  • Adhere to company safety standards and training protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

  • ValidDriver'sLicense.

  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance.

  • Availabilitytoworkdayornightshift including weekends and holidays.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in airport operations.

  • UnderstandingofJohnson Control Systems.

  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

  • Basicproficiencywith computers and common software applications.

  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions as well as at different heights and in confined spaces.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of General Operator, the employeeis regularly required tostand; walk; use hands and fingers,handleor feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must have the ability to use hand trucks, forklifts, tugs, and lift trucks. Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific visionabilities required by this job include goodclose proximityvision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination isrequired.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment issimilar toairport operation with vehicular traffic. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions,fumesor airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees will work on an airport ramp around aircrafts and around heavy equipment.
