The Line Leader oversees the production line.


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee production line of 10-15 people
  • Inspect product to determine whether it meets acceptable standards of quality
  • Responsible for motivating production employees and direct work flow to maximize efficiency
  • Scan product out of and into inventory using hand held scanner
  • Operate bagging machine and overwrap machine
  • Keep track of supplies used
  • Direct crew to keep area clean and organized
  • Operate equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks as needed, in a safe manner
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with policies and procedures of company
  • Communicate with supervisor for guidance on issues and problems and try to achieve a solution
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Must be willing to work overtime and come in on scheduled days off

Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read and write English. Must be able to display basic arithmetic skills.

TRAINING, SKILLS, LICENSES: 1 year of experience working in a warehouse, Electric Pallet Jack experience and/or Produce experience is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently exposed to wet, loud, cold and/or humid conditions. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, rotate or twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
