SUMMARY OVERVIEW

The Baggage Service Agent is primarily responsible for assisting passengers with their baggage claims, particularly in cases of lost, delayed, or damaged luggage. You will handle inquiries and concerns, ensuring efficient resolution and customer satisfaction. This role requires maintaining accurate records of baggage handling incidents and coordinating with various airport departments to track and recover luggage. You will also play a critical role in upholding the company's standards of service and adhering to airport security and safety protocols.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist passengers with inquiries about delayed, lost, or damaged baggage
  • File baggage claims and initiate tracking procedures for lost luggage
  • Provide timely updates to passengers on the status of their baggage
  • Coordinate with airline staff to resolve baggage-related issues
  • Enter and manage baggage information in the airport's tracking system
  • Guide passengers through the baggage claim process
  • Offer solutions and compensation for mishandled luggage as per company policy
  • Maintain records of all baggage service interactions and resolutions
  • Ensure passenger satisfaction through effective communication and service
  • Liaise with the baggage handling team for swift baggage recovery

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • 1 Year Customer Service experience
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
  • Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
