Geotechnical Driller

Paducah, KY

In this role, you'll operate drilling equipment for geotechnical investigations, collect high-quality samples, and help keep field operations running smoothly-while supporting and guiding less experienced crew members.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain drilling rigs and equipment for geotechnical test borings.
  • Collect and document soil and rock samples for analysis.
  • Assure that all drilling functions, including quality control, quality assurance, and verification, are performed in accordance with the standard drilling methods, project specifications, and other contract documents.
  • Responsible for safety procedures and following company guidelines.
  • Lead and coordinate in-house drilling operations, including crew supervision, scheduling, and daily field execution
  • Support a positive team environment by modeling professionalism, accountability, and respectful communication.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of geotechnical drilling experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and heavy equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License required (CDL preferred).
  • Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor environments.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to lift 80+ lbs and perform labor-intensive tasks.
