Job description

The Greenskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.
Job schedule is Mon - Thurs 8 hours each day, Friday 1/2 day, one weekend day (Sat. or Sunday) 1/2 day.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented
  • Must possess the ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course
  • Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance
  • Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
  • Must be dependable

Responsibilities:
  • Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
  • Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas
  • Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
  • Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary
  • Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
  • Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
  • Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
  • Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
