Job description

Title:Lineworker Backup Operator - 2nd Shift Req ID:10254City, State:Westfield, WI, Wisconsin (US-WI)Classification:NonexemptHOURS:1:28pm - 9:58pm. Will vary depending on line assignmentWAGE:$20.17 per hour, pay up to $24.14 depending on backup position being performedJOB SUMMARY:Will work on various locations on production line, performing such duties as arranging/straightening chicken parts and/or packing finished product according to specifications. This position must be capable of learning and performing additional roles and responsibilities and have the desire to move into higher level positions; such as learning how to operate machines, pallet jacks or other positions as necesary. Individuals will be paid the appropriate salary based on the position.JOB DUTIES:Separate and sort chicken parts on conveyor belt.Remove un-battered or seconds pieces from line and pack them as specified.Prepare boxes for packers by staging boxes, bags and labels ahead.Pack individual pieces in portion packs according to specifications.Assist in changing packing area from bulk to portion pack.Keep work area clean.Job requires frequent repetitive bending, lifting and twisting throughout the work shift.Assist in sanitizing area, as required.Work in other departments or perform other duties as assigned.WORKING CONDITIONS:High noise exposure, temperature variations from warm to cool to extremely cold and slippery floors are present. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment, as necessary or required.QUALIFICATIONS: Employee must display a positive attitude and teamwork skills. Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 8 hours per day. Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist. Must meet the physical abilities evaluation requirements for this position.
