Position title: SAP SuccessFactors iXp Intern - AI Software Developer, Learning

Location: Palo Alto, California (Hybrid) 

Expected Start: June/July 2026 

In this role, you'll:

  • Design, develop, test, and enhance software by understanding requirements, implementing and testing features, writing automated tests, and resolving issues.

  • Embrace lean and agile software development principles by participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives.

  • Collaborate and innovate with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to deliver a seamless, consistent, and engaging product/experience for millions of users

  • Gain experience working with Generative AI, Foundation Models, and LLMs

  • Grow in leadership, presentation, and other soft skills.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

  • Candidates to be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master's degree program in Computer Science or Engineering at an accredited institution

  • Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, OOP, design patterns, and software design principles

  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Groovy, or Bash.

  • Knowledge of backend services (REST APIs, Microservices) and frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).

  • Understanding of at least one relational database system such as SAP Hana, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DB2

  • DevOps mindset - inherent sense of ownership through the development and deployment lifecycle

  • Technologies/Tools/Architectures you could enjoy: Cloud development, AI, Microservices, Continuous Delivery, Spring Boot, Spring Reactor, Docker, Kubernetes, Swagger, Hadoop

  • Familiarity with UI technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment working with multiple teams across various geographies

  • Willingness to "go the extra mile" to ensure the highest quality of experience for our customers
