Job description

The Sr. Ambulatory Practice Manager is a strategic leadership position that will manage the overall operations of the Gilchrist Medical Services practice. Under limited supervision of the Director for Geriatric Medical Support Services, the Sr. Ambulatory Practice Manager proactively assesses and implements appropriate processes to ensure that all facets of ambulatory practice operations are effectively addressed and to support the implementation or enhancement of clinic programs and services aligned with the organizations' strategic priorities.
The Sr. Ambulatory Practice Manager is responsible for oversight and management support of the day-to-day operations in alignment with the four aims of GBMC HealthCare. This includes, but is not limited to, patient access, revenue cycle management, payor contracting compliance, insurance referral and preauthorization requirements, health information management, patient flow, environmental safety, regulatory compliance, patient safety, quality initiatives, and patient experience. This work requires strong collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioner, and office staff.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in health care administration, Business Management, Business Administration or related field is required.

A combination of experience and education may be considered.

Experience:

4 years of progressively responsible medical practice management experience is required.

Supervisory experience required.

Licensure, Certifications:

CPC, CMPE, CMOM, CMMM, CPPM or CSPPM preferred.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of ambulatory medical practice/ physician practice operations.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of Electronic Medical Record systems. EPIC is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
