Job Summary
Adjunct Instructor for developmental and technical mathematics courses for face to face and/or online instruction. Fall Semester 2026/Spring Semester 2027.
Primary locations in Des Moines Metro area. Positions at additional DMACC locations may be available.
Review of applications will begin immediately.
Essential Functions
Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi. Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students. Fosters a safe and civil learning environment. Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies. Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Math or Math Education, or secondary teacher licensure in Math.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds.
Desired Qualifications
Master of Math or any master's with 12 graduate semester credits in Math.
Teaching experience.
Work Schedule
Face to face and/or online instruction. Fall Semester 2026/Spring Semester 2027. Days and times yet to be determined.
