Job description

A multi-disciplinary architectural, engineering and construction firm is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support the daily operations of its accounting department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow their career in accounting while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive team environment.

Your Day Includes:

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Process invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Enter, verify, and reconcile financial data with a high level of accuracy.
  • Perform account reconciliations, including corporate credit card reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Review, audit, and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and other accounting projects as needed.

Must Haves:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 2–3 years of accounting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with credit card reconciliations and employee expense report processing is required.
  • Familiarity with ERP/accounting platforms such as QuickBooks and Vantage (Deltek) is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
