Performs scheduling functions as designated by practice. Coordinates incoming and outgoing referrals for office visits and diagnostic testing. Obtains insurance authorization prior to visit. Requires general knowledge of specified procedures, insurance authorizations, and other related functions.


REQUIRED

  1. Two years of previous medical related scheduling experience
  2. Ability to type 30 WPM
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of Medical terminology

PREFERRED

  1. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of a computerized scheduling system
  2. Three years of previous medical related scheduling experience
  3. Demonstrated organizational and communication/customer service skills
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in utilization of computer application
  5. Demonstrated problem-solving skills
