You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing ServiceNow modules, with a primary focus on CMDB, enabling accurate and efficient asset and configuration management. The candidate is expected to work independently, proactively identify new development and automation opportunities, and take endtoend ownership of implementing, fixing, and deploying changes on the ServiceNow platform.

What you will do

ServiceNow Development

  • Collaborated with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, translate business requirements into scalable solutions, and established governance and best practices including documentation, version control, and code reviews.

CMDB Administration and Development

  • Architect, implement, and optimize the CMDB to accurately track IT assets and configuration items (CIs)
  • Design and manage data models, relationships, and processes within the CMDB
  • Perform CMDB health assessments, including identifying orphaned or duplicate CIs and resolving data quality issues

Integration and Support

  • Develop integrations with external systems for data synchronization with CMDB (e.g., discovery tools, ITSM tools, monitoring platforms)
  • Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for CMDB and associated ServiceNow applications
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot ServiceNow performance issues related to CMDB and resolve technical challenges

Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure CMDB and other ServiceNow modules comply with company policies and industry standards
  • Enforce CMDB governance policies and procedures for data integrity, security, and scalability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document CMDB standards and procedures

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, IT operations teams, and service owners to understand requirements and deliver effective ServiceNow solutions with CMDB improvements
  • Provide user training, technical documentation, and best practices to drive adoption and efficient usage of ServiceNow

What you bring to the role
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a focus on CMDB implementation and maintenance
  • Proven prior experience in ServiceNow automation, including designing and implementing automated workflows using Flow Designer, Business Rules, and scripting
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices, particularly around Configuration and Asset Management
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (e.g., JavaScript, AngularJS) and knowledge of platform APIs
  • Familiarity with integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise systems via APIs and middleware
  • Experienced in ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and integration with external market CMDB provisioning tools
