Our commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction has earned us numerous accolades and a reputation as a trusted leader in building control solutions.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated, excellent communicator, and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in delivering exceptional results in the design and execution of building automation systems (BAS), including Delta Controls and Tridium. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to drive performance through strategic planning, process excellence, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Excellence: Ensure adherence to our established engineering processes and procedures to maintain operational efficiency and project accuracy.
  • Team Management: Recruit, onboard, coach, and retain high-performing engineers. Provide consistent training, mentorship, and development.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams, customers, contractors, and consulting engineers to foster trust and long-term collaboration.
  • Performance Management: Define, track, and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) to promote accountability and drive results.
  • Engineering Oversight:
    - Design and implement complex control systems.
    - Establish and enforce engineering design, submittal standards, and documentation systems.
    - Select products and create Bill of Materials.
    - Attend project meetings and site walks.
    - Oversee the panel build process.
  • Estimating: Support sales with accurate estimating and proposal reviews. Contribute to change order pricing.
  • Scheduling:
    - Develop monthly job completion targets and three-week lookaheads.
    - Manage engineering and panel build schedules.
  • Billing: Coordinate with the controller to manage monthly budgets and customer billing.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Foster clarity, alignment, and cooperation across departments to meet business goals.
  • Market and Product Expertise: Stay up to date with BAS technology trends, products, and market positioning to guide the team effectively.
  • Disciplinary Leadership: Enforce expectations and address underperformance consistently and fairly.
