Job description

WE DON'T CHEAT AT SOLITAIRE

Position Summary: The Accounting Manager oversees the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Special Billings, and Compliance functions, leading a team of 10+ direct reports. This role is a key part of the finance team and reports directly to the Controller.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Special Billings functions
  • Hire, train, and develop accounting staff; conduct performance reviews for direct reports
  • Monitor and manage AR and AP KPIs
  • Lead initiatives to improve AP/AR workflows and internal controls
  • Prepare work papers for the year-end audit
  • Manage local compliance requirements
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or in Business with equivalent accounting experience
  • 7+ years of experience; public accounting experience and CPA license preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, with a preference for leasing/rental accounting experience
  • Proven experience improving and evolving back-office processes and procedures
  • Strong data analysis skills; comfortable working with large datasets
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Construction industry experience a plus
